January 2011, Jerod Alexander from Three of One Arts, started a project called, "Just-US League, Dallas' Freestyle Art Squad". The first goal of the Just-US League was to make 12 collaborative paints in 12 months for a huge auction at the end of the year. At the end of April, the squad was asked to be a part of the Neighborhood Revitalization Mural Project of Deep Ellum. With the first painting of the Neighborhood Revitalization Mural Project done (Taco Loco east wall), Deep Ellumites can only expect to see many more slowly popin up around the neighborhood. What makes the Just-US League unique? Its a collective of artists who perform/paint/make huge art collabo pieces LIVE in front of large crowds. JUL has a 111 member roster, 11 artists perform at a time with 111 minutes to complete the oversized pieces. The first three of this year can be found at eXcuses Cafe off Main in Deep Ellum.
